The swimmer drifts upward as her cares are washed away. Behind her lies the words she does not hear as she is at peace in her underwater world.  This piece was painted as a response to my own need to observe quiet in a tumultuous time in my life. For me, the art making is an opportunity to take rest and reflect on life events so that I may make informed decisions and maintain a stable emotional foundation.  This work is a 30" x 40" x 1 " unframed mixed media painting on canvas.  This piece brings a sense of calm to any environment. It is wired on the back for easy display in a favorite room or nook.
