Trompe L'oeil Doorframe and Baseboard
This lovely wallpapered wall was broken up visually with the white door frame and missing baseboard. The client wanted the doorframe to disappear and have the wallpaper become seamless. See next image for the trompe l'oeil painted door frame that continues the wallpaper image and the faux baseboard that continues the image without distraction

ABSTRACT OMBRE WALL-DINING AREA
A monochromatic abstract painting was applied to this dining room niche. Acrylic latex paint was troweled on from the top to the bottom. Pearlescent embellishments were added for the final touches. A limited blue palette was used to inspire the ombre sparklilng of a waterfall. Designer Kelli Fontana commissioned Marti to create a finish for this wall that had movement and texture as a visual focal point for the room.
CLOUD SCAPE AND CHERRY BLOSSOMS
This mural was painted on a ceiling in a private home. The ceiling space measured 10 feet X 18 feet and was 20 feet above the floor. The cloudscape and birds were painted in acrylic paints. The final artwork was sealed with a flat protective clear coat.
The wall below the ceiling measured 20 feet X 20 feet and was inspired by silk cherry blossom wall paper.

FANCIFUL FLOWERS AND LEAVES-POWDER BATH
The decorative painting done in this powder bath is an oversized whimsical painting of flowers, leaves and plants. The walls were basecoated with a dark latex acrylic in flat. The design was hand drawn with chalk and then painted in with a lighter acrylic paint. Silver leaf touches to leaves were a final touch. A protective clear coat was applied at the end. This wall treatment paired nicely with the fixtures chosen by designer Kelli Fontana of WestBayHomes.
